Jeffrey case and forearm

Trade Label

It’s been a bit quiet mostly because I’ve not had much time to do anything. However, the Jeffrey case is back and a friend of mine has lined it for me and restored the trade label. He’s done an astonishing job the trade label looks amazing (after it was torn and tatty) he’s really got it back in full. I’ve also completed the forearm and here are some photos. It’s coming together, the barrels are at the smiths being blacked and I reckon this restoration project will be completed by early April. I’m not sure what to do with the gun. It has a super local heritage (being owned by a very prominent Oxford academic publishing family until I bought it) and is of course complete with the original case and trade label. Probably a keeper, although, everyone has a price!

    Tony ,
How is this project coming along? It is nice that you know the history of it,it is very frustrating to have a gun that has obviously seen life, but you do not know what it has seen.I have a Jeffery Farquharson in .475 No 2 NE,back from Africa,if only it could speak!!
    Chris,
