Joseph Lang – Backlock Project
My visit to the 2010 CLA gamefair brought two additions to the family. A nice little Yidilz .410 double barrel (new) for my son and a Joseph Lang for me to restore. Here are the photos. It has an intriguing lock mechanism which you can see in the photos!

What is the function of the two pins ,held by the screws in the top of the tang?

Chris, I don’t know is the quick answer. I’m thinking some sort of air release for the pins…don’t know will investigate!
